This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Hey, if anyone cares, I ain't goin' be round here no more. If I want to succeed in my academic pursuits, let alone my overblown artistic ambitions, I've got to stop spending time on frivolous net pursuits. Therefore, I am now blocking Youtube (my #1 time wasting enemy), deviantart, xkcd, questionable content, megatokyo, scarygoround, etc. If I get bored, I can write, take pictures, read an unassigned textbook, or fiction, art magazines or political magazines or literary magazines. Sure, I do these things already, but not enough in proportion to time-wasting net use. Or I can even work on improving my car's handling or work more to try to make enough money to buy a heavily used sports car. But none of these things require sitting in front of a computer screen for hours upon endless hours. And thank God for that.

Someone left a wonderful reply to your comment on their poem, Ink (yes, I browsed some of your recent favorites), unfortunately they commented directly on the poem, rather than on a reply, so you may not be notified. Just thought you should know!

Oh, no hurry. I'm sorry if I've bogged down your inbox with all my sub-par (you can tell my mood by my adjectives for my art) poems. Though the last four I just sent are pretty close to being finished (and hopefully good, my professor thinks so)

ps I'm sort of feeling down about writing -having neglected it so long- as well, but since I've received very good scores on my academic writing this quarter I am "guardedly optimistic" as they say.
You know, on the other hand I also recently looked at my older writing and some of it I think 'hey wow that's pretty decent,' but a lot of it I just think 'what on earth this is awful.' I guess this implies my standards for what constitute good has gone up, which I think is (probably?) a good thing.
I also had a really funny experience with my English midterm. I wrote it in a night and a morning, but the essay portion was truly started and finished the morning it was due. I thought it was probably mostly rubbish, and had my mom read it to make sure it was decent before I left. I did not read it once I had finished writing. Weeks and weeks later we got the midterms back. I had recieved an A, so I was curious if it really was good. I started reading as I left class and sat down at a table to finish. I was astonished: the paper flowed perfectly and was very well written, and felt sort of like reading something by someone else that was enjoyable. See, this is kind of ironic, because I'm trying to write about reading something I wrote, and it's late and I'm exhausted from preparing for and writing my English final (which I'm pretty sure is no where near as good) so my current writing is actually really terrible. I suppose it's a good thing I decided to check dev one last time instead of start my LJ final.

Are you going to be around the state of CA for the winter break?
When do your finals end? I have one final on Wednesday, and then the rest of them are due on Thursday (before I leave for my flight)
